There's a difference
Tuesday, 11 March 2003, 09:17
It's a different sort of MacDonald INTEL AND MCDONALDS will work together to make your Big Mac experience that much better when the Centrino Burger is launched tomorrow.

Pictured here is Don McDonald (no relation), who is the worldwide Intel product marketing manager for its notebook products, including Centrino.

Three cities in the US which have McDonalds burger bars will offer free wi-fi access to customers starting tomorrow, the firm has announced.

It's all part of the $300 million push Intel is readying for the launch of its Centrino notebook technology tomorrow at places as far apart as the US, London, and SnoBIT in Hangover, Germany.

The wireless service McD will offer is 802.11b, and we must remember to ask tomorrow when everyone can expect to use 802.11a in €uropa.

There are complex arrangements in place in different countries to cater for wireless bands which might or might not clash with each other. µ
