TWO SURPRISING THINGS happened to me this morning. Firstly, I emerged from the shower in my suite here on the
19th floor of Le Royal Meridien to see two smiling faces looking at me through the window.
They weren't very tall stalkers wanting to touch my clothes (which would have been difficult given the circumstances), but a couple of workmen in one of those dangly cradle wossnames fixing the Ramadan decorations that bedeck the whole side of the building.
It was very traumatic. [Not half as traumatic as it must have been for the poor sods outside - Ed]The second surprising thing was to discover a yawning Everywhere Girl on page five of my soaraway Gulf News. She's obviously seen it all before. µ
