Han Solo ties the knot as Chewbacca, Obi Wan Kenobi look on

'We are not geeks,' says groom

WINDOW CLEANER Bramwell Brightey dressed up as Han Solo to marry Tamsyn Lofts dressed as Princess Leia at Leatherhead Registry Office last week. The service was watched by Chewbacca, Imperial Stormtroopers and Obi Wan Kenobi.

Han Brightey said: "We didn't really want a traditional church wedding, so we decided we'd do something different. We both like the Star Wars films but we're not fanatics or geeks. We figured that a lot of our friends liked the films as well and Star Wars is massive everywhere all around the world."

The pair had originally wanted to tie-fighter the knot on May 4 - May the fourth be with you - but instead had to wait till the following week as some of the 50 rebel alliance guests had been delayed at Aldebaran.

And did the couple celebrate at the reception with a traditional first dance? Well, no:

"We turned all the lights off and turned our light sabres on and had a duel, " Bramwell Solo confessed.

"The whole day was amazing, everyone looked amazing. I said to everyone there, this is the greatest day of my life. Everyone made an extra special effort and without them, the force would not have been so strong." µ

Odd events

It may be just me but I always find it very strange that people get offended from what they are. Apparently humanity in general has a warped sense of self perception, myself included.

Geeks do not actually know they are geeks. Obese people think they are over-weight or "chubby" & people that have serious BO do not seem to notice.
Slim people think they are fat, smart people have low self esteem and natural born leaders feel stupid.

Does grumpy know he's grumpy? or does he think people just aren't serious enough??

Some people (in Camden) dress all black & have a trillion metal studs peircing their skin, they call themselves (or are called) goths. Do they know they are not related to the goths, the visigoths or the ostrogoths etc...?

At the end of the day the world is very very strange.
If you consider that Burma is reluctant to recieve international aid, people which insult the prophet are sentences to death by holy decree, if you can buy land on the moon & supposedly own it, if the dirtiest hole in human anatomy is their mouth...well it all really makes sense.

It makes sense because there are an estiamted 45 billion billion atoms per square centimeter in a person. Those atoms are moving you know...alot can go wrong there...lets not get into molecules or cells..

If we consider the god thesis, everyone else is having a ceremony (marrige) dressed in some culturally influenced way exchaging vows in so called "holy matrimony" before a potentially fictional character.

So having a wedding, dressed as fictional characters & denying geekdom, is really not so bad.

Catch my drift?

Someone Got It Right!

Great Ape! Even the pope now says that "Aliens are our brothers!"
I need to find a bar in this smelting pot, where I can chewbacca', spit-n-argue, and get a wee cuppa the gods running ova; 'cause I'm going 99-bananas!
Please don't tell my brothers where._ They claim I still owe them a pint!
So what if I did descend from some teeming on a beach without a pence in a pocket? I'm shelling out today, and I'm still in search of that pence! Forgive me farthing; I know nowt wowt I dew!
